I. How We Protect Your Personal Information
- Implementation of Security Measures: To ensure the security of your information, we strive to implement various industry-standard physical, electronic, and administrative security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. We take all reasonable and feasible steps to ensure that personal information irrelevant to the fulfillment of service functions is not collected.
- Storage and Deletion Procedures: Information and materials collected by MadeinEast may be stored and processed at the locations of our company and/or our affiliates, or at the locations of entities we deem necessary to know such information. Upon account cancellation, we will delete or anonymize your personal information.
- Retention Period: Unless otherwise required by laws and regulations, we retain your personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the stated purposes. After the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your information.
- User Responsibility and Environment: The internet is not an absolutely secure environment. We strongly recommend using secure methods and complex passwords to assist us in maintaining account security.When using MadeinEast, you will inevitably disclose personal information to potential trading counterparties. Please protect your information and provide it to others only when necessary.If you discover a leak of your personal information—especially your account or password—please contact our customer service immediately.
- Public Information Disclosure: Public information refers to any information you voluntarily share openly. This can be accessed by anyone during or outside their use of MadeinEast. Please be cautious when sharing or publicly uploading information, as it may involve sensitive personal data of yourself or others.
- Legal Liability: While we strive to ensure the security of any information you send us, we will assume corresponding legal responsibility if our physical, technical, or administrative protections are breached, leading to unauthorized access, tampering, or destruction of information that damages your legitimate rights.
- Security Incident Handling: In the event of an information security incident, we will promptly inform you of:The basic situation and potential impact.The disposal measures we have taken or will take.Suggestions for self-prevention and risk reduction.Remedial measures.Notifications will be sent via email, letter, phone, or push notifications. For large-scale incidents where individual notification is difficult, we will issue a public announcement in a reasonable and effective manner. We will also report the handling of security incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
II. How You Manage Your Information
We prioritize your control over personal information and protect your rights to query, correct, delete, withdraw consent, and cancel your account.
- Query, Correct, and Supplement: You have the right to access and update your information. On the PC terminal, you can log in and navigate to Personal Information > My Account to modify your details.
- Deletion of Information: You may request the deletion of your personal information if:Our processing violates laws or regulations.We collected information without your explicit consent.Our processing severely violates our agreement with you.You no longer use our products/services or have cancelled your account.We permanently cease providing products or services.Note: Upon deletion, we will notify entities that obtained your information from us to delete it simultaneously, unless they have independent authorization or legal grounds to retain it. Backup systems may not reflect deletions immediately due to technical safety protocols but will isolate the data from further processing.
- Account Cancellation: You can contact online customer service or call 025-5709 7787. We will assist with your cancellation request within 7 business days. Once cancelled, all services will stop, and information will be deleted or anonymized.
- Automated Decision-Making: For functions relying on non-manual automated mechanisms (algorithms/AI), we conduct Personal Information Protection Impact Assessments to ensure the processing is legal, legitimate, and necessary. If such decisions significantly affect your rights, you have the right to an explanation and appropriate remedies.
- Request Response:To ensure security, identity verification may be required before processing requests.We typically respond within 3 business days. Complaints can be lodged via the customer service hotline if you are dissatisfied.We may refuse requests that are: unrelated to your identity, groundlessly repetitive, technically over-demanding (e.g., requiring new system development), risky to others' rights, or impractical.
- Exceptions to Requests: We cannot respond to requests involving national security, public safety, criminal investigations, subjective malice, or trade secrets.
III. Processing of Minors' Information
MadeinEast products and services are primarily oriented toward adults. We do not target or knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover that a minor's information has been collected without prior parental/guardian consent, we will delete the data immediately. We encourage guardians to actively monitor their minors' online activities.
IV. Global Transfer of Your Information
In principle, personal information collected within the People's Republic of China (PRC) is stored within the PRC. However, as we provide services via global resources, your information may be stored on servers outside mainland China (e.g., USA, Germany) or provided to overseas affiliates and third parties, subject to compliance with cross-border transfer laws.
- Security Standards: We ensure that overseas transfers receive a level of protection equivalent to that within the PRC (e.g., through de-identification or explicit consent).
- Purpose of Transfer: To facilitate one-stop international trade services between buyers and sellers, increase customer credibility, and ensure smooth order transactions.
- Methods and Storage:Overseas Buyers: They act as overseas recipients. Data is stored on our servers in Germany and the USA.Access Control: Overseas buyers can only browse data; they cannot download or export it.Information Scope: Publicly visible info includes name, gender, employer, and job title. Telephone numbers are disclosed to logged-in buyers. Email addresses and IP addresses are only provided after a buyer sends an inquiry, you reply, and separate consent is obtained.
- Impact Assessment: According to Article 55 of the Personal Information Protection Law, we conduct impact assessments before transferring email/IP data and retain these reports for at least 3 years.
- Storage Duration: Data is retained for the minimum time required for transactions and history queries. Typically, cross-border data is kept for 3 years after account cancellation.
- Safeguards:Technical: Encryption (HTTPS), dedicated private lines for real-time synchronization between domestic and overseas data centers, and restricted remote access for O&M personnel only.Administrative: We implement an Internal Management System for Cross-border Transfer. Agreements with buyers include strict clauses on protecting supplier data and prohibit re-transfer to third parties without further consent.
- Subject Rights (Third-Party Beneficiary): You are designated as a third-party beneficiary in our legal agreements with overseas recipients. Unless you object within 30 days, you may exercise beneficiary rights to claim protections. You may also request a copy of these legal documents via support@made-in-east.com.
- Remedies: If a breach occurs, you may lodge a complaint with regulatory authorities or file a lawsuit in the People's Court at the location of Nanjing Aiying Digital Technology Co., Ltd.
V. Policy Updates
Our business may change, and this policy will adjust accordingly. We will not reduce your rights without explicit consent.
- Notification: Major changes will be announced via the website (www.made-in-east.com) or other prominent notifications.
- Major Changes Include:Significant shifts in service models (purpose, type of info, usage).Changes in control (mergers, acquisitions). Changes in primary sharing/disclosure targets.Changes in your rights or how to exercise them.Changes in the security department or contact channels.High risks identified in impact assessments.
By continuing to use Made-in-East services after revisions, you agree to be bound by the updated policy. Historical versions are archived and available upon request.
